Arrival and Prep: Patients are encouraged to bring a companion. Upon check-in (1:10), the process begins with blood work to ensure treatment safety (1:18).
Access Methods: Depending on the treatment plan, patients will receive chemotherapy through either a surgically placed port or a peripheral IV (1:27–2:06).
Infusion Process: After lab results are reviewed (2:21), patients move to the infusion room. Nurses record vitals and may administer pre-medications to help manage potential side effects (3:06).
Support Services: The center offers a holistic approach to care, connecting patients with a cancer support specialist (4:48), a dietitian (5:00), and a social worker (5:12) to assist with resources, nutrition, and financial or insurance concerns.
Post-Treatment: Nurses discuss common side effects like fatigue or nausea (4:08) and provide instructions on when to contact the nurse coordinator if concerns arise after leaving (5:28).
